MUMBAI: India is a country located a few degrees above the equator and the majority of the country witnesses a hot and humid type of climatic conditions with extreme intensity rainfall, while some areas remain arid throughout the year.

If we take a look at her megacities, wherein the country's urban population reside, they witness the hot and humid/ dry conditions at large. Despite these uniformities and diversities, the climate and urban city life are pretty much suitable for facilitating an individual to endorse exposive outfits in the form of crop tops, sleeveless tops, mini skirts, shorts, boxers, Tee-shirts, denim wear, etc. or even a combination of all of these.

Moving on to individuals working in the corporate fields, the choices of stylish corporate formals are pretty much restricted owing to the respective company's protocols, be it in a local or even in an international setup. For those in the international setup (white-collared MNC workers), it's a mandate to wear western formals and related corporate outfits.

Initially, men (as the family's pivotal breadwinners) were seen wearing western formals and corporate wear at their offices. The basic ensemble comprised of a clean white shirt, a pair of trousers, an any coloured tie (provided it matches the work community's standards), a blazer and leather shoes.

With time and progression, these offices started observing the gradual increase of female participants in the corporate scenario. Hence, even they had to follow the same dress-code. This led to the introduction of a separate line of corporate worker's dress codes for the female workers, involving newly-introduced specific styles of tailoring, to enhance their body contours for establishing ease in endorsing those garments.

Gradually, trousers got replaced with midi or mini formal A-line skirts, only to make an upgraded comeback years later. The fittings of a woman's corporate shirt are different from that of men's. Ladies started wearing leather heels instead of leather shoes.

Now, this standard underwent another round of revolution, as eventually, leisure activities got associated with formal activities. After-meeting parties, official brunches, official poolside meetings and parties, after work pub sessions and so on made it's way to a corporate individual's daily work schedule. Hence, the rigid style, pattern and colour-related protocols that were restricted within a respective corporate setup, started breaching their own walls.

Fashion designers now took inspiration from both corporate and leisurewear to create fusion wears, that are fit for endorsement during both special corporate as well as personal leisure events. These garments look extremely smooth yet classy. Every single element which is a part of one's corporate ensemble has been combined with the relaxing leisure outfits to create a look and performance-wise balanced outfit that's fit for both the sectors (considering the relaxations in an individual official setup and by what degree).

This gave way to the introduction of outfit ensembles apart from the already-existing shirt-trouser-blazer combo; like corporate jumpsuits, spaghetti tops tucked under trousers and supported with a blazer externally, formal short dresses with blazers, pastel-coloured shirts (of both sleeved and sleeveless varieties) tucked under formal skirts, blazer/ coat dresses, etc.

Talking about blazer dresses, these outfits are the game-changers of the current work-play scenario. Both classy and sexy, fashion designers used their immense power of creativity to convert a darn blazer into a dress by stretching it down to a somewhat above a coat's length. Also, one can opt to flaunt their statement belts by tying them around the outfit's waist (for the reason of which blazer dresses comes with pre-stitched external belt loops).

(To note: Blazer dresses are usually preferred for semi-official and leisurely setups over the totally formal ones until the organisation's heads bend the rules.)

Now, without any further ado, scroll down to catch glimpses of telly divas like Hina Khan, Surbhi Jyoti, Jannat Zubair, Divyanka Tripathi, Karishma Tanna, Mouni Roy, Anushka Sen, Krystle D'Souza, Rashami Desai and lastly, Radhika Madan; who are seen endorsing and flaunting different styles of classy blazer-dresses.

1. Hina Khan

Hina Khan looks like a savage boss in this completely white blazer dress.

2. Surbhi Jyoti

Surbhi's royal blazer dress comes with a twist for being long like almost an ankle-length gown. Her dress also has a central thigh-high slit.

3. Jannat Zubair

Jannat looks chic in this pink blazer dress. The black belt around her waist adds the perfect contrast to her look.

4. Divyanka Tripathi

Divyanka's blazer dress' tied sleeves are the eyeball grabbers. The gold laces, buttons and her jewelleries (earrings and ring) are her look's statement accessories.

5. Karishma Tanna

Not everyone can carry an off-beat polka-dotted blazer dress (yellow polkas on a pastel green base) with Karishma's grace.

6. Mouni Roy

Mouni looks totally classy with hints of professionalism in this all-black blazer dress, while her black belt adds more structure to both her waist's contours and the dress.

7. Anushka Sen

As quirky as ever, Anushka looks totally brunch/ shopping/sightseeing ready in this vibrant yellow blazer dress. Her bright red inner adds the perfect colour contrast to her ensemble.

8. Krystle D'Souza

How about looking like an absolute badass queen in a moss-green blazer dress like Krystle herein? A 'totally worth it' look for hitting a pub with your girl gang. Also, that metallic lustre of her dress is constantly keeping all eyes on her!

9. Rashami Desai

Rashami's dress' elongated and patterned collar is the style-statement of her all-white blazer dress. Looks like she has used a stylish sheer scarf as her belt by tying it around her waist. Another 'not-so-easy' style to nail!

10. Radhika Madan

Lastly, Radhika's blazer dress is the next level of experimentation with those wild and abrupt floral prints. However, the smart use of black stockings has subtled the splash-like bombarding of various bold colours through her dress. Another challenging outfit to endorse when in a high-key social setup.

P.S. To identify a blazer dress, it's mandatory to spot the blazer's collars on it. If they are missing, one must watch out for the main garment's drapery, which has to resemble that of a blazer's, irrespective of the dress' length.
