Banker turned actor Siddharth Arora who made his television debut in Color TV’s Mukti Bandhan back in 2011, has come a long way in the industry. He has portrayed a variety of roles in serials like Doli Armaanon Ki, Betaal Aur Singhasan Battisi and the latest being Zee TV’s Meri Saasu Maa which aired last year.

Money can buy everything in the world?
It can’t actually. But you also need to have a lot of money to say it can’t buy you everything.
Virtue or vice?
Virtue, obviously.
First pocket money?
I don’t think I had any and I don’t even remember.
First salary?
It was 100 rupees per day. I was 19 and worked at a call centre.
Most expensive buy?
Yet to happen. And it will be my own house.
Do you believe in charity?
Yes, every year on my birthday and during Diwali, I go to Varanasi and donate to a blind school.
Do you ever gamble?
I believe in hard work and the money that you earn from it. Nothing else.
Have you ever stolen money?
Probably have when I was a kid (smirks).
Have you ever bought a lottery ticket?
Never. I don’t like to think I am lucky to earn a fortune out of nowhere. It should be all me, and not my luck.
Do you invest?
Yes, I do mutual funds and SIP’s and I’ve got great returns on my investments.
How much have you saved till now?
Sssshh.
Spendthrift or a miser?
I believe in a balance in both.
Dream bank balance figure?
Haven’t thought about it.
