Jigna Vora shares her experience on a recent visit to prestigious Christ University

MUMBAI: Bigg Boss 17 contestant Jigna Vora has been travelling a lot post her stint in Bigg Boss. She went to Christ University in Bangalore recently and had a great time there.

Sharing more information about the visit she says, "Christ university is one of the country's best universities having churned out many startups. It was a very honourable moment as a chief guest at the university. I was invited to the Raabta Festival organised by MESTA and was part of a panel discussion  on - Art as Activism: Unveiling the Power of Indie Expression to Drive Social Change. I also spoke about my experience as a journalist and what mistakes one should not make while reporting incidents. I also spoke about ethics in journalism. It was an interactive session as students also asked their queries.”

She also adds, "Media is being considered as the fourth estate in our country and hence it’s very important to be responsible towards what we report . Visiting colleges is always nostalgic, it reminds me of my college days. I spoke to students about their life,  difficulties they face, specifically students who are away from home. I must admit students are very well updated with what’s going around in the world due to social media exposure that was not the case during our time .Today’s youth have their own strong opinions and don’t hesitate to express or voice out . Such interactive sessions are a learning experience for me too - like they made me aware of how important social media is plus nowadays students don’t judge anyone, they are very receptive. During our time as students we were very domicile and not proactive like today.”
