Abhishek Bachchan spent his birthday on Tuesday (5 February 2013) doing what he does every year: shooting at Film City. By an uncanny coincidence Abhishek has been shooting, and that too at the same venue, for all his birthdays during the past five years. Says a friend of Abhishek, “This year it was again work at Film City. This time Abhishek was shooting for <em>Dhoom 3</em>. In 2006 on his birthday he was shooting for <em>Dhoom 2</em> at Film City. In fact, Abhishek has shot at Film City on all his birthdays.”

It’s rare ,though not exceptionally so, for Bollywood stars to stand by their loyal staff members. Akshay Kumar’s Man-Friday Nitin has been with him for 20 years. And Salman Khan’s bodyguard Shera has been a part of the star’s inner circle for 15 years. Katrina who admits she has learnt the ropes of career management from Akshay and Salman has also been busy cultivating a core group of trusted staffers whom she needs to be around, especially since she has no family member to depend on in Mumbai. Among them is her hairdresser Promila whom the star trusts for much more than just her hair.

Abhishek Bachchan who is shooting in Chicago for Dhoom 3 is expected to return to Mumbai on the morning of October 10 in time for his father’s grand 70th birthday party. What comes as a pleasant surprise is the news that Aamir Khan who is shooting in Chicago with Abhishek might also be flying down for this occasion, just for a day. Says a source close to the Bachchans, “Aamir might fly back to Mumbai with Abhishek for the bash and then they’d both return to Chicago after the event.” When probed further we got to know that Aamir was “damn excited” about the event.

The weather in Chicago is as unpredictable as Salman Khan’s moods. Luckily Katrina is not shooting with Salman but Aamir for a 20-day schedule of <em>Dhoom</em> 3. However, she has been asked to keep an additional 3-4 days free of other engagements. “Anything can happen to the weather in Chicago. The climate swings are decidedly freaky. The day can start off sunny and then there’s a sudden hailstorm and we are forced to stop shooting,” says a <em>Dhoom</em> 3 actor from Chicago.

Katrina Kaif would be training for a new form of dance known as acro-dancing for Dhoom 3. It has now been decided that Aamir too would be joining Katrina in this rare and intricate form of dancing. While Katrina would be trained in Mumbai by acro-experts , Aamir would be taking lessons for the same in Chicago.

Fatherhood for the third time has turned Aamir Khan into quite a home-bird. He wants to stay as close to wife Kiran and newly-born son Azaad as possible. Opting for a departure from his habitual way of working Aamir has taken wife and son to Chicago to be with him for the 3-month schedule. And now we hear from a friend of Aamir that the star while shooting for <em>Dhoom 3</em> has opted to stay in a rented apartment in Chicago with his family rather than a hotel.
