From Gandhigiri in the Munnabhai series to education overdose in 3 Idiots, the director is known for his hard-hitting plot that makes you sit up and ponder over the story and content. If a movie makes you even think for five minutes, the director has achieved his goal.
Great Acting:
There's no doubt about it. Hirani movies have some of the finest acting you can ever come across. Even actors who are not particularly known for their acting chops gain wide appreciation in these films. Who would have thought that Arshad Warsi would be so amazing as Circuit? Who would have imagined Madhavan as a thinking actor? Hirani's knack of finding the best actor for his movies is uncanny.
Music:
In an era where directors forcefully add song-dance routine to 'spice' up the movie, here's one director who makes sure that his songs don't stick out like a sore thumb. Instead, he makes sure that they go with the scenes. The songs in PK are the latest example, go and check them out!

His lead actors are almost always first-timers on screen.
