Bollywood movies that will rock 2016

The coming year promises to be rather grand at the BO, thanks to the number of amazing flicks lined up for release. From biopics to period dramas to unique plots, there's a lot to choose from. As 2015 slowly fades away, we get ready to welcome 2016 with these movies...take a look:

Fan:
In this hatke flick, Shah Rukh Khan plays the dual role of a superstar and fan. It's the first time the madness of his superstardom and the craziness of his fandom would merge together in a dynamic mix.

Raees:
The thriller, set for a summer release, once again has SRK grabbing screen space. But he plays a bootlegger who's chased by a cunning cop aka Nawazuddin Siddiqui. In this fast-paced flick, who will win and who will lose everything?

Jagga Jasoos:
Real life couple, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, come together in a detective setting in this much-awaited movie. Will their real love story transcend into reel too? Can RK create sparks with lady love just the way he does with reel and ex-lover Deepika Padukone? Let's wait and watch, shall well?

Sultan:
Even though not much is known about this movie, it stars Salman Khan and that's more than enough. Do we really need  a reason to watch a Sallu movie? Yep, didn't think so.

Mohenjo Daro:
This period drama has lots to offer, apart from brining Hrithik Roshan from his hiatus. It's said to be shot extensively across the country with lavish sets and grand songs in the offing. We will wait for more details on this and also Roshan's epic performance.

Aye Dil Hai Mushkil:
An interesting mix of cast (Aishwarya Rai-Bacchan, Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor), Karan Johar helming the directorial seat, and the Diwali weekend thrown in, this movie is a sure-shot winner.

Shuddhi:
With so many casting changes and plot reveals, we finally know that it stars Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in a quirky love story.

Neerja:
Sonam Kapoor will finally be able to break her fashionista tag with this author-backed biopic that's based on a real story. As Neerja, Kapoor will aim to bring to life the last couple of days of air hostess Neerja Bhanot's struggle in a hijacked plane.

Fitoor:
Based on Charles Dickens' finest work, The Great Expectations, this passionate love story is set for the Valentine's weekend. With. Aditya Roy Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Tabu leading the pack, there's going to be fireworks for sure.

Airlift:
Another true story adapted for the big screen, this daring evacuation and rescue movie will make us flock to the screens for sure. Starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur, the movie will hit the theatres on January 22, 2016.
