Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami - the title itself strikes the chord of curiosity in our heads and evokes a number of thoughts. While it refers to the ultimate honor bestowed to the martyrs of the nation, it also denotes a gesture of saluting the efforts of people who have an impact on our lives.
The much talked about satire film Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami produced by Nautanki Films starring the veteran actor Anupam Kher centers around the life of a BMC worker whose dying wish is to have a martyr’s last honors. Inspired by the title of the comedy satire,Tellychakkar.com gets talking to stellar television celebs about whom would they dedicate their Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami.
Gautam Rode: The people who really deserve an Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami in our country are our benevolent armed forces and especially the police force. They work tirelessly day and night to protect the society and truly believe that duty comes first. So I would give my Salaami to them.
Krystle Dsouza: I would want to give Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami to my mom. She has always supported me through thick and thin. When nobody supported me for pursuing my dream of acting, she was the one who encouraged me. Even though she is a working lady she took a break for 2-3 months during my debut show and waited for 12-13 hours on the sets every day with me!
Mohit Sehgal: According to me Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami is something that can only be given to someone who earns it. I cannot really think of any person like that in the present day scenario. Amidst all the corruption that exists in India, there is hardly anyone who deserves an honor like this. I personally wouldn’t give it to anyone until they earn it.
Shakti Mohan: Undoubtedly, it would be my parents. When everybody lost hope that I could become a dancer despite my major accident, they truly believed I could live my dream. My performance on Jhalak was especially dedicated to them and traced my struggle and theirs too, on my journey to becoming who I am today. An Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami to the most important people in my life!
Gaurav Chopraa: Beyond the shadow of a doubt, it is the armed forces that deserve an Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami from the nation. It is rather unfortunate that they are not given the facilities, respect and privileges that they deserve despite their relentless sacrifices for the nation. Especially the soldiers who are stationed at the border and in extremely cold areas. A nation needs to take pride in their war heroes and their devotion to the nation’s security.
Deepika Singh: My Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami goes to all the fans of my show Diya Aur Baati Hum. It is their love and appreciation that drives us to deliver our best on screen and send across a social message.
Kushal Tandon: I would want to give an Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami to my parents who brought me into this world. They are really special and mean a lot to me. Even an Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami would be small to express my gratitude and admiration for them.
Tina Dutta: I think our PM Narendra Modi deserves an Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami. He has done a lot work throughout his ministry and has drastically transformed and developed Gujarat. And now since he is the PM of our country, I am sure he will live up to the expectations of the aam janta and work towards national progress in every way he can.
Shivin Narang: It is our audience which deserves an Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami. Even an Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami wouldn’t be enough to express our gratitude for the love and appreciation they shower us with. An audience is the prime motivation for any actor.
Paridhi Sharma: APJ Abdul Kalam has always been an inspiration and the entire journey of his life is invigorating. Coming from a middle class background and working as a newspaper boy, the man transformed himself to becoming the President and the Missile Man of India. An Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami to him!
And while you sit and admire whom you would want to give a grand salute to, don’t forget to catch the exciting film Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami releasing soon. And remember, the movie comes from the house of Nautanki Films helmed by Abhinav Shukla.
