MUMBAI: Sharmaji Namkeen, which premiered recently on Amazon Prime video, has Juhi Chawla in the leading role along with Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal playing the same character. It was during the shoot of the movie that Rishi Kapoor passed away. Paresh Rawal then replaced him. 

Having said that, this is not for the first time that an actor is getting replaced because of his untimely demise. Read on to know more.

1. Madhuri Dixit replaced Sridevi

2. Raveena Tandon replaced Divya Bharti

How can we forget one of the most loved characters of Raveena Tandon in the movie Mohra? But do you know that Divya Bharti was the first choice for the movie. Because of the untimely demise of Divya Bharti, Raveena Tandon took up the role.

3. Sridevi placed Divya Bharti

Sridevi starred in the movie Laadla, which also had Anil Kapoor in the leading role, but this character was initially offered Divya Bharti. Because of her untimely demise, Shridevi played the character.

4. Amitabh Bachchan replaced Rishi Kapoor

5. Paresh Rawal replaced Rishi Kapoor
