#TeachersDaySpecial: 5 types of Bollywood-inspired teachers we all want

Teachers are our gateway to the real world. They not only teach us the basics of life, but also influence us in ways that we can never be grateful enough for. On this important day, we take a look at the five types of Bollywood-inspired teachers we all want in our lives…read on:

Amitabh Bachchan in Black:

The perfectionist in him made his blind and deaf student (Rani Mukerji) stand out among the crowd. Despite her disabilities, she was able to etch a place for herself. Don’t we all want teachers like Big B, who can inspire and lead us? Only if we had someone like him in our school…sigh.

Aamir Khan in Taare Zameen Par:

When the whole school was hell-bent on branding a dyslexic child as ‘abnormal’, there was one teacher who went the extra mile to help the child out. How many of us would have achieved the unthinkable with a supportive teacher like that? Aamir helps the child overcome his issues without overbearing or overwhelming him. That’s exactly what a teacher should do. Don’t you think so?

Sushmita Sen in Main Hoon Na:

Imagine how many scientists the country could have produced with a sexy teacher like Sush leading the students? Alas, our teachers were more like Bindu’s character from the same movie than Sushmita in sassy chiffon sarees. But we do wish that a teacher as sensational as her were part of our growing up years.

Shah Rukh Khan in Mohabbattein:

He understands his students, he inspires them to go against the system and bend the rules, and he teaches them the value of love. Isn’t he the perfect teacher? Of course he is! Every kid has a favourite teacher he/she can confess secrets to…SRK from this musical-romance could very well be the best of the lot! What say, fans?

Naseeruddin Shah in Sir:

He not only helped his student with a speech problem overcome it, but also played a significant role in sorting out her love life. He is the ‘sir’ we’ve all craved for. He makes school and academics so much more meaningful with his dedication, modern ideas and quirky problem-solving ways.

These are the teachers from B-Town we want in our lives. Who’s on your wish list? Let us know in the comments section below…
