The two mega stars may be bonding big time at Salman Khan's sister, Arpita Khan's, wedding. But the trade world is abuzz with the two's box office clout and pull. In a recent report of BO, it has emerged that Sallu's Kick had a bigger pull, when it comes to audiences, than Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year. We find out why.
The 'Bhai-nomics':
Salman is known for his generosity and his social-initiatives like Being Human. This gesture has made the macho star extremely popular with the industry folks and the masses. So whenever his movies come out, there's a bigger buzz and anticipation about it than any other Khan's. Way to go, bhai!
Controversy's Child:
The unmarried star is quite the ladies' man, which makes it easier for his PR machinery to churn out stories about his link-ups. Romantic rumours are always popular with us and make us want to watch the alleged pair onscreen. Not just link-ups, he is known for his brash behaviour, mood swings and for random surprises on the sets. This behaviour makes him an enigma, and a far better selling product than the 'oh-so-perfect' family image on SRK.
Abs to Flaunt:
He is the original 'abs' boy of Bollywood. It's his shirt-less routines that brought a second lease to his sagging career and made him a superhit with the female janta. SRK may have acquired 8-packs for his Diwali release, but it's Sallu's beefy look that has the girls swooning.
Don't Care A Damn Attitude:
His attitude makes him stand apart from the breed. He doesn't care about the fate of his films as hits and flops don't affect him. He believes in a thundering screen presence than Oscar-winning acting. On the other hand, Shah Rukh is caught between acting and being a mass-puller. And that's what makes the latter lose out to Sallu bhai.
