We are already terming 2016 as the year of break-ups, what with B-Town’s bigwigs separating left, right, and centre! Another couple who is reportedly ending their romance is Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. 

The striking twosome, who publicly declared their love a while back and were seen indulging in PDA many times, have disappeared from shutterbugs’ radar. 

Rumours of their split started doing the rounds when a fan observed that the actress and her cricketer beau had un-followed each other from their Instagram accounts. While it was said to be a technical glitch, it might as well be the first sign of trouble between the duo.

According to a gossip site, Virat apparently wants to settle down this year, while Anushka wants to concentrate on her career as an actress-producer. A source told the gossip portal, "Anushka wants to focus on work in 2016, both as an actress and a producer. She would like to wait till 2017 at least. This led to a fight between Virat and her, and they’re not on great terms now."

We don’t know if this is the reason behind the alleged split, but we do know that their break-up is going to send their loyal fans into a tizzy. 

The two, who met while filming for an advert, initially denied being a pair. But spoke at length about their love for each other at a media gathering. Let’s hope that they sort out their issues and reconcile soon. We would hate to see the vivacious lovebirds go their separate ways, no?
