MUMBAI : Udta Punjab starring Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Diljit Dosanjh, was released back in 2016. The film was directed by Abhishek Chaubey, was a box office hit, and is still renowned for the groundbreaking performances given by each of the characters.
As the movie marks eight years since its release, the Deva actor took a trip down memory lane and posted nostalgic old photos to social media.

On June 17, Shahid Kapoor posted a carousel of pictures on his Instagram account that included his stills from Udta Punjab. His black-and-white photo with his long hair and sharp mustache opens the post. We can also see the tattoo on his chest, "Mamma Da Boy."
The film's title track plays in the background while Shahid plays Tommy Singh in a series of contrasted glimpses. In the video, Alia Bhatt co-stars with him in a scene. A mirror selfie taken from the vanity van is followed by a still from the film.
The actor is shown getting ready for the moment in the next few photos. The actor's toned and muscular body is on display as he works out hard throughout the intense training sessions. “Party 8 saal baad bhi-Going Hard!!,” he wrote in the caption, followed by a fire and a collision emoji.
Soon after the post was shared, Shahid’s loving brother and actor Ishaan Khatter reacted to the post and dropped a comment expressing, “GABRUUU,” followed by a fire and a rock sign hand emoji.
Furthermore, many fans showered the Deva actor with praise for his performance in the film and added comments on a post that he uploaded. A fan wrote, “Ain't nobody like the OG GABRU,” another fan remarked, “Kya hi acting thi,” while a third fan exclaimed, “You nailed the role.”
The last time we saw Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The romantic comedy did well at the box office.
His next film appearance will be in Rosshan Andrews' eagerly anticipated Deva, which features Pooja Hegde in the major role. The film is being billed as a hard-core action entertainer and will feature him as a smart and rebellious police investigator looking into a high-profile case.
