MUMBAI: Malavika Mohanan has indeed made a significant mark with her back-to-back releases, Thangalaan and Yudhra. The actress showcased her impressive versatility by portraying two distinct characters in both films and truly nailing each role. While it's fascinating to see her immerse herself in two different worlds through these characters, it was also a unique experience for her as an actor.
While sharing about her experience of working on different characters in Thangalaan and Yudhra, Malavika said, "Both are from different worlds. As an actor, the prep you do is so different. For Thangalaan, there were a lot more action sequences, there was a lot of physical prep and stunt training. For Nikhat, I had to learn the piano- it was more of a soft girl character, I mean she is tough when she has to be but it’s a very different character. It is very versatile and as an actor, it is good to not be put in a box where you are playing the same kind of role.”
In Thangalaan, Malavika portrayed Aarathi, a goddess inspired by a deity who was the protector of the Kolar Gold fields. On the other hand, in Yudhra, the actress plays Nikhat, a strong woman, who is soft and equally fierce when required to be and who helps him combat his anger issues.
Apart from Thangalaan, Malavika Mohanan will be next seen in 'The Raja Saab' alongside Prabhas.
