Abhishek Bachchan breaks silence on the 'Rocky' marriage rumours with Aishwarya Rai; Says 'Still married'

MUMBAI: Reactions to reports regarding the marriage of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are purported. Recently, fans have been speculating that things between Abhishek and Aishwarya might not be going well.

After Abhishek "liked" a post regarding a divorce and Aishwarya attended a wedding alone last month, rumours started to circulate. The pair hasn't released a statement, but according to several newspapers, Abhishek discussed the rumours with a foreign media source.

According to the popular news portal, Abhishek addressed the circulating accusations when he spoke with a Bollywood popular media portal. He apparently declared that he is "still married" while flashing his wedding ring.

“I don’t have anything to say to you all about that (the rumours). You all have blown the entire thing out of proportion, sadly. I understand why you do it. You have to file some stories. It’s okay, we’re celebrities, we have to take it,” Abhishek is quoted in the report.

Aishwarya and Abhishek have been married for 17 years. Aaradhya Bachchan is the daughter of the couple. In recent years, the pair have avoided attracting spotlight to their marriage. They haven't posted anything on social media about each other other than birthday and anniversary wishes. However, Abhishek and Aishwarya never leave a chance to encourage each other and family.

Abhishek was spotted with Aishwarya both throughout Ponniyin Selvan's production and premiere. At the launch of The Archies, Agastya Nanda's first project last year, Aishwarya became his biggest supporter. She posed among other Bachchan family members, including Aaradhya, Agastya, and Abhishek.

Abhishek was recently spotted in Paris for the Olympics. At the games, the actor appeared alone. He was seen applauding Indian athletes who were competing in the games. Neeraj Chopra had just won a silver medal for India in the javelin throw final, and was also showered with love by him.
