MUMBAI: Aarti khetarpal is one of the few actors who started shooting for a feature film after 7 months of the lockdown. The film titled Kutub Minar being shot in Dehradun, is a slice of life film that revolves around real life stories of a rare disease. The CM of Uttarakhand did the mahurat of the film in the first week of October. What’s more exciting is that Aarti gets to share screen space with her idol veteran actor, Sanjay Mishra.
Aarti has always been a fervent admirer of the senior actor and when she was offered this film, her excitement knew no bound. She was sure that this will turn out to be the best experience of her life, as she will learn immensely while shooting with ace actor Sanjay ji, and indeed she was right. Aarti shares, ‘I remember my first shot was a close-up n Sanjay sir especially waited for my scene after his shot. He broke down my entire scene and made me rehearse it with him 4-5 times before the take. This made me feel comfortable and welcomed on the very first day!”
She further adds, ‘Sanjay ji is a selfless actor, so giving and a master of his art. Every day I look forward to rehearsals with him. I feel inputs from him, Karanvir and other actors is only helping me shape up my character better. I love the interest with which everybody is working onthis film. It feels more like attending an acting school with amazing seniors rather than working with a crew. Also, Sanjay sir is joined by his mother for the shoot. So, every day he gets the most amazing home cooked food. So Im being trained by best and even fed with the yummiest food. Could I ask for more, she quips’.
The film Kutub minar is a fun yet an immensely emotional film talking about a rare disease and the social stigmas around it. Directed by Raaj Aashoo, it is produced by Pancham Singh.
