Aditya Chopra to continue his father's 'mahurat clap' tradition

Like father, like son. Yash Chopra’s eldest son, Aditya Chopra has proved to be an able son every father would dream of having. After his father's demise, Aditya took over all of Yash Chopra's responsibilities in YRF. All but one - the mahurat clap giving tradition. There was a long standing tradition at Yash Raj Films where Yash Chopra used to give the first clap for every film. After Yash Chopra's sudden demise two years back, everyone thought Aditya would continue the tradition but unfortunately the latter himself was not very keen and expressed his desire to not follow the first clap custom. It was therefore decided that the senior most person present on the sets would give the clap. However, now after much convincing it looks like Aditya Chopra will now step into his father's boots and continue the clap giving tradition. And two people who managed to convince Aditya are SRK and director Maneesh Sharma. Sources say that on Maneesh and SRK's insistence Aditya Chopra agreed to take over the ritual and gave the first clap on the sets of FAN. This is also SRK's first film with YRF without Yash Chopra and the superstar along with Maneesh managed to coax Aditya to give the clap. And if you thought this was just a one off thing, you are wrong. Henceforth, Aditya would be giving the first clap for every film of the production house.
