MUMBAI: Aashiqui 2 actor Aditya Roy Kapoor has delivered some amazing performances over the years. His last offering Malang was loved by the masses and the classes, After the huge success of their last outing Malang, Aditya and director Mohit Suri were all set to team up for another action-thriller, 'Ek Villain 2'. But according to a close source, the actor is no longer a part of the project.
A source close to the production revealed, "Aditya has opted out of the project due to creative differences with Mohit. The actor wanted to have creative control over the script of the film which led to issues between him and the director."
The first instalment of Ek Villain released in 2014 and starred Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles. With filmmaker Mohit going ahead with the decision of a completely new star cast, John Abraham, Disha Patani, and 'Student of the Year 2' actress Tara Sutaria will be seen in the sequel.
Mohit even took to social media to announce the project with a bouquet of flowers attached with initials 'V2' and smiley balls. He had captioned the post as "Let the fight begin !! Bad v/s badder!!"

Meanwhile, amidst the ongoing pandemic, Mohit has also been working on the first draft of Malang's sequel as he recently shared a glimpse of his laptop's screen with 'Malang 2' mentioned on it. On the other hand, Aditya will soon be seen in Anurag Basu and Mahesh Bhatt's upcoming projects.
