MUMBAI: Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya had filed for divorce from Nawazuddin Siddiqui a few months ago. The latest reports published in PTI states that Nawaz's wife has recorded her statement before the court where she reiterated her allegation that the actor's brother Shamas Siddiqui had molested a family member in 2012. The report further mentions Circle Officer Girija Shankar Tripathi saying that Aaliya appeared before the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) court for getting her statement recorded under section 164 of the CrPC against her husband and his four family members.  

Nawazuddin's brother Saifuddin Siddiqui alleged that Aaliya was trying to blackmail and extort money from the actor. Reportedly, earlier, her lawyer even issued a statement saying that the client had submitted a detailed written complaint to Versova Police Station for 'Rape, Cheating and Deceitfully under sections 375, 376 (k), 376 (n), 420 and 493 of the Indian Penal Code against Mr Nawazuddin Siddiqui.' After Aaliya made such allegations, Shamas took to his Twitter handle and dismissed all the allegations and claimed it to be false.

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Aaliya had alleged that Nawazuddin Siddiqui used to have women over while she was pregnant with their first child. "When I was pregnant, I had to drive all by myself for check-ups. My doctor used to tell me that I’m mad and I’m the first lady who’s come alone for delivery. My labour pain started and Nawaz and his parents were there. But when I was in pain, my husband was not with me. He was talking to his girlfriend on calls. I knew everything because there used to be itemised statements of phone bills,” said Aaliya.
