After Rajeev Khandelwal, Emraan Hashmi to play a detective

In a first, Bollywood is coming up with two films inspired by an equal number of English TV series. The first starring Rajeev Khandelwal has been inspired by AXN’s hit how Sherlock while the other that has taken inspiration from the same channel’s Hannibal stars Emraan Hashmi. However it is ironic to see that the popular AXN shows have been inspired from movies themselves. Emraan, who is busy shooting for his film X, reveals that he had always wanted to play a role like Dr. Lecter from the Hannibal series. It is said that the inspired film would turn out to be as popular as the show that is extremely popular with the TV watching audience. On the other hand, Rajeev, who is in the process of finishing the dubbing for Rajshri Films; Samrat & Co will play the role of a detective inspired by Sherlock Holmes of Sherlock. It would be interesting to watch out whether Rajeev would like to exchange notes with the British Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) or the American Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller). What is interesting to note is there have been several films inspired from TV series. They are all big hits like Transformers, Star Trek, X files and a few more.
