MUMBAI: Celebrities like Akshay Kumar and Badshah have expressed their disappointment on the brutal rape and killing of Priyanka Reddy.
Hyderabad based 26-year-old veterinarian Dr. Priyanka Reddy was charred to death after being raped on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway on Thursday. According to reports on various portals, the deceased was sexually assaulted before she was murdered. This brutal act also got attention from Bollywood celebs, raising their voice against it. Actor Akshay Kumar and Rapper Badshah have voiced their opinion and shared their disappointment towards the same.
Actor Akshay Kumar in his tweet recalling some similar incidences in the past seeks for the laws of the nation to be stricter. His Tweet read, “Whether it is #PriyankaReddy in Hyderabad, #Roja in Tamil Nadu or the law student gangraped in Ranchi,we seem to be losing it as a society. It has been 7 yrs to the gut-wrenching #Nirbhaya case & our moral fabric continues to be in pieces.We need stricter laws. This needs to STOP!”
