MUMBAI: As she gets ready for her much awaited action film that would introduce her to the YRF Spy Universe, Alia Bhatt is presently training. Sharvari Wagh, who has also been undergoing intensive training for her role, will be accompanying her in the lead. A new report has disclosed the start date of the film's production and provided an overview of the storyline, which does not centre on the rivalry between India and Pakistan.

According to Dainik Bhaskar, this film's filming will begin in Mumbai on July 15; the sets are already being built. In the next months, the team will travel to Kashmir to film critical action scenes. There are apparently reportedly plans to travel in December.

The portal claims that while having spies and a nationalistic theme, the movie will not centre on the rivalry between India and Pakistan. It appears that Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will be competing against the nation's internal foes. According to insiders, the narrative takes place between 2000 and 2024 and will expose internal politics and traitors while showcasing the inner workings of spy organisations.

According to the report, action director Casey O'Neill, who directed Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, has joined the project.

In 2023, a source revealed,, “Alia Bhatt is one of the biggest crowd pullers in today’s time, and she will be playing a super-agent in the YRF Spy Universe like Salman Khan, Hritik Roshan  and Shah Rukh Khan. Aditya Chopra and the team have planned an epic female-led spy film with Alia Bhatt, which is expected to push her to the edge.”

Anil Kapoor is rumoured to be in the cast of the film, and Bobby Deol plays the adversary. This film will be directed by Shiv Rawail, of Railway Men fame.
