Yes, she did! And she confessed to this in a chat with Karan Johar which featured her and the much talked about and reported  love of her life, Ranbir Kapoor during the Jio MAMI Movie Mela in 2017.

“For the longest time I had Katrina’s Kamli dance video saved on my phone,” she confessed. “And when I was losing weight I use to play it while I was  doing cardio,  and just look at her dance. Because she did such a fabulous job, she looks so fantastic. That’s not jealousy…that’s like Wow, she is so amazing. I want to be the better version of myself.”

Alia was simply trying to differentiate  between jealousy which inspire and jealous which wants you to cause haarm the other person who has done better than you.

Alia also confessed during the chat how much she loved her. And she narrated a time when she had come home after a 45 day outdoor shoot. She took two and a half days of rest, before going to meet her father Mahesh Bhatt. She got a earful from him for taking so long to visit him, despite the fact that he stays very close to him. “I love my dad, he ‘s fabulous, but he is too fabulous,” she told Johar. “And it’s like I am not understanding. He will sit and talk, you have to understand. He will go on for 25 minutes and I have to listen to him. He will even stop mom and say let me speak. In fact, I told him ‘Dad I am sorry, but after listening to you, it takes me five days to recover from it.”

That’s honest heart to heart confessions from a young damsel who has been making waves for her acting skills.
