MUMBAI: Amitabh Bachchan is getting ready for the release of Nag Ashwin's sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD. He has bought the land of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) for a 10,000-square-foot land parcel in Alibaug, Maharashtra which is worth Rs 10 crore.
According to the popular news portal, the transaction was finished last week. The actor has purchased the plot for a project called A Alibaug, which debuted in April 2023.
Earlier, Bachchan bought the plot in The Sarayu, a 7-star mixed-use enclave in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, which is also owned by The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) for Rs 14.5 crore. The developer claims that it is a 15-minute drive from the temple. By March 2028, the project should be finished and a five-star palace hotel built.
Meanwhile, a new teaser for Kalki 2898 AD featuring Bachchan's character was released on Sunday by the film's makers. "From the BIGGEST battle of the previous Yuga, to the FINAL battle of the present Yuga. Introducing the legendary @amitabhbachchan as immortal ‘ASHWATTHAMA’ from #Kalki2898AD," they wrote.
The actor will portray the immortal Ashwatthama in the masterpiece. The release date of Kalki 2989 AD is set for May 9.
Kalki 2898 AD is becoming more and more magnificent by the day. Undoubtedly one of the biggest releases of the year is the forthcoming sci-fi dystopian action movie, directed by Nag Ashwin. Several of our nation's biggest stars are included in the ensemble cast of the film. In addition to Prabhas, the movie stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in significant parts.
In addition, he is working on the Hindi version of The Intern and Section 84.
