Richard Gere set to become dad again

Hollywood actor Richard Gere is expecting his first child with second wife Alejandra Silva.

The Madrid-based Spanish daily ABC, which broke the story, had also reported Gere's wedding to Silva, 33 years his junior, earlier this year, as per media reports.

The Pretty Woman star exchanged vows with Silva after four years together at a civil ceremony in Spain in April before celebrating the occasion with friends and family at his home near New York.

According to the report, it was not yet clear if the child would be born in Spain or the US, where Silva is now believed to be based most of the time.

Gere, who will celebrate his 69th birthday at the end of this month, has an 18-year-old son Homer with former wife Carey Lowell.

Silva, who met Gere while divorcing her first husband Govind Friedland, has a five-year-old son Alberto.

Kanye West set for 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' appearance

Rapper Kanye West will make an appearance on TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Host Jimmy Kimmel made the announcement on Twitter, reports billboard.com.

West's appearance on Thursday will be followed by an appearance by his wife Kim Kardashian West on Friday.

Details on their topics of conversation weren't released, but they will likely talk about West's controversial political remarks and his recent album "ye", which was released in June.

West's last appearance on Kimmel came in 2013 in what was billed as an attempt to defuse a social media feud between the two stars.

The feud began when West took exception to a Kimmel sketch spoofing the rapper's infamous interview in which he made various claims and described himself as "the No. 1 rock star on the planet".

Jimmy Kimmel Live! is aired in India on Star World.

Angelina Jolie accuses Brad Pitt of not paying child support

Actress Angelina Jolie has accused her estranged husband Brad Pitt of not paying "meaningful" child support since their separation.

Almost two years after the Hollywood power couple separated, Jolie is trying to kickstart the process so that it can be finalised by the end of the year, reports suggest so.

Jolie's lawyer filed papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday saying the actress wanted a judgment "returning the parties to single status during calendar year 2018."

The document also said that Pitt had "paid no meaningful child support since separation" and said that although informal arrangements had been made with him, payments "had not been regularly sustained."

Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016, ending two years of marriage and a 10-year romance. The two have six children -- Maddox, Shiloh, Pax, Vivienne, Zahara and Knox -- for whom she is seeking primary custody.

Mindy Nyby, a spokeswoman for the actress, said on Tuesday that the court filing was intended "to provide closure to the marriage in a way that clears a path towards the next stage of their lives and allows her and Brad to recommit as devoted co-parents to their children."

Pitt's representatives declined to comment.

A source familiar with the matter, who was not authorised to speak publicly, said that "Brad is someone who fulfills his commitments."

The divorce filing, citing irreconcilable differences, triggered a bitter custody dispute during which Pitt was investigated and cleared of child abuse. Final custody arrangements have yet to be agreed.

Pitt has kept a low profile in the past two years, while Jolie has recently been filming a sequel to fairytale drama Maleficent in London and directed a 2017 film about the 1970s Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia in which more than one million people died.

Gina Rodriguez gets engaged

Actress Gina Rodriguez says she is engaged to her Jane the Virgin co-star Joe LoCicero.

"I am engaged, he's the best. We've been engaged for like a month. I've kept it a secret for a while," the 34-year-old actress told a leading publication.

Rodriguez and LoCicero met on the set of Jane the Virgin in 2016. They started dating soon after. They first revealed about their relationship by sharing pictures from their Thailand vacation during Christmas 2016. They have been gushing over each other on social media since then.

"I just want to live. I think there's a huge blessing in the fact that people care. That's a beautiful thing, so that feels really good. But another part of me wants to keep a little something that's just mine cause there's not too many things I have like that anymore," said Rodriguez.

Actor Robert Dix dead at 83

Actor Robert Dix, best known for his role in the 1956 film Forbidden Planet, died of respiratory failure at a hospital here. He was 83.

The son of late actor Richard Dix passed away on Monday, reports suggest so.

Apart from Forbidden Planet, Robert had appeared in many horror movies and police TV shows.

Some of his films include Frankenstein's Daughter, Deadwood 76, Blood of Dracula's Castle and Five Bloody Graves.

He is survived by his wife Lynette, children Jana and Robert, two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral will take place at Russellville-Dragoon Cemetery in Arizona on Friday.

Jessica Chastain, Eddie Redmayne in talks to star in 'The Good Nurse'

The movie centers on the serial killer/nurse Charles Cullen. Redmayne would portray Cullen and Chastain would play a nurse who helped track down Cullen after he killed as many as 40 patients before being arrested in 2003, as per media reports.

The Good Nurse, based on the book by Charles Graeber, will be adapted by Krysty Wilson-Cairns. Danish helmer Tobias Lindholm will direct the project.

Chastain starred in Molly's Game. She will appear in the X-Men film Dark Phoenix as an alien shapeshifter and will play the adult Beverly Marsh in It: Chapter Two.

Cheryl 'humiliated' as Liam Payne moves on

Singer Cheryl felt "humilated" when she got to know about her former boyfriend Liam Payne "moving on" with younger model Cairo Dwek.

The former One Direction star was spotted trying to impress a 20-year old Dwek at Medusa restaurant and cabaret club in Cannes before he followed her on Instagram and started liking her photographs, as per media reports.

A source said, "It's obvious that Payne saw Dwek that night and now he's trying to get her attention."

Cheryl and Payne have a son, Bear.

Cardi B struggling with baby blues

Rapper Cardi B says she is struggling with her emotions following the birth of her daughter Kulture.

Taking to her Instagram account, Cardi B, who became a mother in July, said: "This postpartum sh*t is annoying. Like I been emotional all f**king day for no reason."

However, the lack of sleep she has been getting may have something to do with her wavering emotions as the baby has been keeping her up all night long, as per media reports.

She said, "I wish I could show you my face but a b***h look f***ed up in the game! Like, my hair's f***ed up. My eyes are so dark and puffy. Like, I'm wild pale like a b***h looking like she got jaundice.

"But I just really want to say thank you to everybody... I have just been so busy and so tired and in like a different world, a different dimension - I like it like that. It's doing so good...

"Let me get back to this mommy thing. Let me tell you all something. No matter how many books you all read, advice you all get, you all will never be ready for mommy mode."

Ruby Rose to play Batwoman

Actress Ruby Rose has been roped in to play role of a lesbian Batwoman in a series for the network The CW.

As previously announced, the character will make her debut in the annual crossover event between four of the network's DC shows, The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl, as per media reports

The event will be held in December.

Greg Berlanti is also planning a stand-alone series revolving around the character.

The Batwoman series, which is in development with Caroline Dries penning the script, revolves around Kate Kane, who, armed with a passion for social justice and flair for speaking her mind, soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city's criminal resurgence.

While saving the city, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope.

Rose celebrated the news through a post on Instagram, saying she is "beyond thrilled and honoured".

"I'm also an emotional wreck... because this is a childhood dream," she wrote.

"This is something I would have died to have seen on TV when I was a young member of the LGBT community who never felt represented on TV and felt alone and different. Thank you everyone. Thank you God," added the actress.

Should Batwoman move to series, it would join a slate of DC shows at The CW that includes Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Black Lightning.

Rose's casting comes after the network made it a priority to cast an openly gay actress to take on the role.

Rose's credits include Orange Is the New Black and features in The Meg, Pitch Perfect 3 and John Wick: Chapter 2.

Kendall Jenner pokes fun at her 'ugly' years

Reality TV personality-model Kendall Jenner has looked back on her "glow up" from the early seasons of her show Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

In a preview clip from a new episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kendall shared a video on her phone with her hair stylist, Jen Atkin, featuring the family on the first season of the programme, reports suggest so.

Kendall said to Atkin, "You have to see this video... How ugly we were. Like the glow-up is actually just nuts."

The video showed Kendall and her younger sister, Kylie, now 20, running around their mother Kris Jenner's bedroom - disobeying her and mimicking their older sister, Kim Kardashian.

Kris said, "Money does not grow on trees."

Kendall replied, "Yes it does. It's paper."

The video then showed a young Kylie dressed in her mother's gold scarf and sunglasses - pretending to be Kim.

She joked, "Hi I'm Kim Kardashian, everybody does what I say, and soon I'll be the queen of the world!"

At the beginning of the new clip, Kendall was shown wrapped in a "gravity blanket" which she said helped her cope with her "anxiety" because it felt like she was being hugged.

Tom Hardy finds parenting hard

Actor Tom Hardy says there is nothing more challenging than trying to be a good father to his two children.

"There is no harder job on the planet, and more important, than parenting. You have got the military, police, doctors, service personnel - massive respect, huge consequences - but parenting? It's beyond a job, is not it," Hardy told Esquire magazine.

However, his career has had more of a physical effect on him as his knees are getting stiffer, his hair is turning grey and he's locked horns with too many people, reports suggest so.

He said, "My knee's gone, the nerves are shot, I'm getting white hair...I have got battle scars from rubbing my nose in the wrong places, banging heads with the wrong people, being difficult or whatever it is.

"But I've got to the point where I'm responsible as well. If you come to me I can find, delegate, help, create a solution. I'm not a tearaway any more."

It was really hard: Trace Lysette on opening up about sexual abuse

Transparent actress Trace Lysette says she has no regrets about accusing former co-star Jeffrey Tambor of sexual harassment.

"It was hell, in a word," as online media portal quoted Lysette as saying.

"It was really hard, but I've never shied away from making decisions out of fear. What I mean by that is that I knew I had to do the right thing, and the right thing revealed itself to me, and I spoke the truth."

Tambor was eventually fired from Transparent following harassment allegations made by his former assistant on the show, Van Barnes, who accused Tambor of subjecting her to unwanted physical contact and lewd remarks.

But Tambor's career is still alive; he has a starring role on Netflix's Arrested Development reboot.

Lysette wasn't surprised Tambor seemed to take a softer hit compared to other industry heavyweights singled out in the #MeToo movement, since most of his accusers are transgender women.

"I'm used to people not wanting to believe us and being at the bottom of the totem pole, as you said -- being considered overly sexual beings, objectified," Lysette said.

"Our word doesn't carry weight the same way, which is why it took him shouting down Jessica Walter to be cancelled. That was what it took."

Glenn Close to be honoured by Museum of the Moving Image

Actress Glen Close will be honoured by the Museum of the Moving Image at its 32nd annual Salute on 3 December.

Ivan L. Lustig, co-chairman of the museum's board of trustees and Carl Goodman, the museum's executive director, on Tuesday announced that Close will be honoured by the museum at the 583 Park Ave event here, reports suggest so.

Museum of the Moving Image is a platform that acknowledges the art work, history, films, shows, television by presenting exhibitions, education programmes, significant moving-image works, and interpretive programmes, and collecting and preserving moving-image related artifacts.

"Close is one of the most acclaimed actresses of our time, with nominations for six Academy Awards, 12 Golden Globes, 12 Emmys and four Tonys. Whatever the role, from her star-making performances in The Big Chill and Fatal Attraction to her unforgettable portrayal of Patty Hewes in Damages, she commands our attention through the brilliance and emotional power of her work," said Lustig.
