Anurag Kashyap takes a swipe at BJP's dishonesty

Anurag Kashyap
Anurag Kashyap doesn't mince words when he is unhappy about a particular issue. And these days, it’s the BJP that is giving Anurag much heartache. Reason being, BJP supporters have lifted a song called Aarambh from Anurag’s movie Gulal and used it in a video made on Narendra Modi. All this without Anurag’s permission. When the same was brought to Anurag’s notice he didn’t take it too kindly and was reportedly quite angry and upset at BJP for having used his song without his necessary permission or consent. When we met Anurag recently, we asked him if he was still angry about the same. And in his inimitable style, Anurag replied, “It is Piyush Mishra who is angry and rightly so because he trusted me with the song and when someone uses it without our permission, it is bound to create issues. We talk about democracy but then this is what happens. Here is someone who talks about empowerment and then lifts music without our permission. In such case, I doubt you own agenda. In fact, your entire agenda is in a big doubt.” Though many A-listers of Bollywood have been openly taking sides as far their political affiliations go, Anurag has remained on the back foot till now. When asked about the same, Anurag said, “I am on my own side. I doubt every party. To make other parties work hard, we needed a party like AAP in opposition. But they are too new to be in power as well. I want people to stand up and write their own opinions. There is no real debate happening in our country right now.” Well, those are some strong words there, Anurag. Let’s see if elections this year brings in a change in people's mindset.
