Are Ranbir Kapoor and Kabir Singh director Sandeep Vanga to collaborate for a project?

MUMBAI: Ranbir Kapoor, who is known for films like Sanju, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Wake Up Sid, might collaborate with Kabir Singh director Sandeep Vanga for his next venture. 

Sandeep’s Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, is one of the biggest blockbusters of 2019. Recently, Sandeep had mentioned that he is planning his next stint in Bollywood after his last film with Shahid Kapoor. Now, another report has surfaced stating that Sandeep is in talks with Ranbir for his next Bollywood film.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Sandeep met up with producer Bhushan Kumar and discussed the details of his next film. The producer really liked the idea and both Sandeep and he had only one actor in mind to play the part in the crime drama and it is none other than Ranbir Kapoor. As per the report, Ranbir was approached with the idea of Sandeep’s next film and has liked it. The actor is all set to meet up with the Kabir Singh director to discuss the project in depth. However, the report also stated that in case Ranbir agrees to do the film, he can’t shoot immediately as he has to complete Shamshera and Brahmastra. 

As per the report, “Sandeep narrated a story idea to Bhushan, who has liked it and will produce the film. They met yesterday to discuss the logistics and casting.” A source quoted to the daily, “Ranbir has liked the concept and they will be meeting this week to discuss it further. Of course, even if Ranbir gives the nod, they will not be able to roll immediately because he has to wrap up two films, Brahmastra and Shamshera, first and is committed to a third, Luv Ranjan’s next with Ajay and Deepika Padukone, which is being produced by Luv and Bhushan.”
