MUMBAI : Last week, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer An Action Hero was released in theatres, and the film received a dismal response at the box office. Now, this week, not one or two, but three films are slated to hit the big screens; Salaam Venky, Maarrich, and Vadh

Salaam Venky is directed by Revathi and stars Kajol and Vishal Jethwa in the lead roles. Of all the three films, it’s Salaam Venky that has been grabbing the attention of the audience due to the star factor as well as the promotions.

Tusshar Kapoor and Seerat Kapoor starrer Maarrich’s buzz is not that great. It’s a whodunit thriller, so let’s see if it will attract the audience. Vadh stars super-talented actors like Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta but the buzz about the film is very low.

We spoke to a few people about these three releases and here’s what they have to say…

Megha: Salaam Venky will lead in three films, but one cannot predict if it will also become a hit as such slice-of-life dramas have not worked this year.

Aayush: I want Vadh to work at the box office. The trailer looks very interesting and has amazing actors. People should go and watch it.

Farheen: Salaam Venky and Maarrich have some chances to do well, but people hardly know that a film named Vadh is coming. So, I don’t think it will work.

Anshul: I am interested in watching Salaam Venky because Kajol as a lead is coming back after 4 years, and the trailer looks good.

Akshay: All three films look very OTT material. So, maybe fans of Kajol, Tusshar, Sanjay Mishra, and Neena Gupta would like to watch it in theatres, others will wait for its OTT release.
