MUMBAI: Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh went to the Delhi High court to seek a ban on the films based on his life. SSR’s father stated that a movie was released on an ‘obscure’ website and even sought a stay on its release. The Delhi High Court had previously denied staying the release of the film. The court also suggested SSR’s father have a conversation with the creators and resolve the fight. As per the updates, now the Delhi High court has allowed late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, KK Singh to approach a single judge over the release of the film Nyay: The Justice.
SSR’s father was granted liberty and freedom to approach the single judge with his grievances surrounding the release of the film based on the late actor’s life journey. The report stated that a bench of two judges said that the two concerned parties were “free to advance their stand” before the single judge in view of the fact that the film Nyay: The Justice is now released through digital platforms. As per the report, while disposing of the appeal, the division bench said, “Contentions of the appellant (Krishna Kishore Singh) will be examined in the background of the film that is available on Lapalap Original website.”
Going further the report also mentions that the division bench clarified that in case the makers of the movie intend on bringing any changes, the information on the same will be communicated to KK Singh. As per the report, KK Singh would then be at liberty to approach the single judge if so advised.
To be more specific the division bench was hearing the appeal filed by SSR’s father against the single-judge order refusing to stay the release of the film Nyay: The Justice. At the same time some of the upcoming movies based on the life of the late actor are-Nyay: The Justice, Suicide or Murder: A star was lost, Shashank and an unnamed crowd-funded film.
