MUMBAI : Bobby Deol, who will soon be seen essaying the lead in MX Player's latest web show 'Ashram', opened up about the pressures he faced as a star kid. The actor said, “I have never looked at it until I was asked this question so many times. So I have started looking at it and thinking about it. I think I have made my place in the industry. I was successful when I started my career and I am still here. It has been 25 years. So, I think, there were wrong choices that I might have made at a given point in my career and it started going in the wrong way. With that, I gave up. I couldn't handle it and started critiquing myself. I got distracted by my stupidness and once I realised, I came back. People have seen my work. They have faith in me and it’s just that I have lost faith in myself. So, I finally fought my silliness and stupidness and emerged out of it and here I am.”

Beyond being a star kid, Bobby Deol stated that everyone has to face tough situations in life, “For every actor, every day is a struggle. It’s not easy to get opportunities because you have to work hard. You have to go out there and search for work, which is fine you know because everybody has to do that. It’s a normal thing. It’s not easy but eventually, I have done that and here I have got this opportunity of working on an OTT platform. I have never thought less of an OTT platform and I was excited about it. The struggle is part of your life. I tell this to the young talents I meet that never give up. It is going to be difficult.”
