MUMBAI: Amid the SSR case, the NCB is taking ahead the probe and now this is not only the SSR case but the Bollywood drug case. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which has intensified its investigation into the alleged Bollywood drugs nexus, is likely to summon three leading male actors of the industry in connection with the drug cartel case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. According to ABP News’ sources, the three actors, who are under the NCB scanner, have worked with actress Deepika Padukone, who has also been quizzed by the NCB in this regard.
As per the information received, the three big names are among the said A-listers of the industry, who are likely to receive summons by the drug probe agency very soon. ABP News has accessed the names of the the three actors, but will not reveal until the NCB sends a summon to them. The names of the three male actors start with the initials S, R and A respectively.
According to sources, 'A ' was involved in procurement of drugs and passing them further to R and A. The NCB is expected to issue summons to them after they collect substantial proof.
Last week, NCB grilled Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet in connection with the drugs case. The four actresses denied consuming any narcotics substance during the NCB interrogation.
Deepika Padukone found herself embroiled in the alleged Bollywood drugs nexus after her WhatsApp chats with manager Karishma Prakash surfaced during the investigation. The NCB officials questioned her for five-and-a-half-hours on Saturday (September 26), but she denied consuming any drugs; however, she acknowledged her ‘WhatsApp Drugs chat’ when confronted with manager Karishma Prakash. She also said that she is the admin of the WhatsApp group, which came under the radar of the NCB.
Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor, who have worked with Sushant Singh Rajput in ‘Kedarnath’ and ‘Chhichhore’ respectively, also denied taking drugs. Sara reportedly said that her relationship with Sushant ended in 2019.
During her four hour-long interrogation, Shraddha Kapoor said that she saw Sushant consuming drugs when he was in his vanity van.
The NCB has so far arrested 20 people in the case including Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda, domestic help Dipesh Sawant and drug peddler Abdul Basit Parihar. The Bombay High Court on Tuesday (September 29) reserved the order on Rhea and Showik's bail applications.
