Chander Pahar crowned best film, Abir Chatterjee best villain in Zee Bangla Gaurav awards

Last Saturday Venkatesh Films’ Chander Pahar won two major awards at the recently concluded Zee Bangla Gaurav awards. While the film based on Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay's eponymous adventure won the 'Superhit Film of the Year' award, the protagonist Dev bagged the 'Best Actor' of Tollywood award. "Got the best actor award for Chander Pahar. ...Don't know whether I deserve it or not....Needed your support and blessings," Dev said in a tweet. "But thank you so much for supporting me throughout my journey which I feel just started from this film...Long way to go...Needed ur support and blessings," he tweeted added that his new journey has commenced from Chander Pahar. Abir Chatterjee, who played the scheming villainous Chief Minister in Raj Chakroborty's Kanamachi, a film based on terrorism was awarded the best villain. Srijit Mukherjee won the best director award for yet another Shree Venkatesh Film project Hemlock Society. Koel Mallik bagged the best actress award for Hansraj, while Jisshu bagged the best supporting actor award for Chitrangada. Veteran Moushumi Chatterjee won the ‘Best Performer of the year award’ for her role in Goynar Baksho.
