MUMBAI: Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which stars Ajay Devgn and Kajol and is helmed by Om Raut, is set to release soon. Ajay and Kajol will share screen space after 11 years.
The film takes us on a historical tour. Ajay steps into the shoes of Subhedar Tanaji Malusare and turns into the Maratha military leader for the screen. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan. Where Kajol plays Savitribai Malusare in the period drama, Saif Ali Khan makes for a fierce enemy as Uday Bhan.
After teasing us with the trailer and awe-inspiring tracks, the makers of the film have released a new song titled Maay Bhavani. The track unveils the grandeur of the ancient era that the period drama aims to show. The song starts with Kajol making for a perfect Savitribai on the screen. Strong and phlegmatic, she expresses her fondness for her husband followed by a revelry in the village. It dates back to the times when the Maratha Empire was in the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
