Chhapaak was first titled Gandhak

MUMBAI: Chhapaak team is busy promoting the movie as only 7 days are left for the movie to hit the big screens. Starring Deepika Padukone, this venture only has 3 songs.

Today was the launch of the title track, and during the movie, the cast of the movie revealed that originally the movie was called Gandhak. 

But then the director of the movie Meghna Gulzar wanted to change the title as she wanted to keep it simple and something which should go with the title song.

And one of the main reasons why she changed the movie title was as she wanted the name to give justice to the title track which was launched today, and which portrays the outline of the acid victims.

The song as being sung by Arijit Singh and the music is Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy and is very soulful.

Chhapaak is directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar in collaboration with Fox Star Studios.

Chhapaak is one of the most awaited movies of 2020 and is all set to release on 10^th January 2020 clashing with Tanhaji and Darbar (which is to release on 9th), and the audience has already said that this is going to be Deepika's best performance.
