Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson split
Singer Ariana Grande and Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson have called off their engagement.
The couple ended their engagement over the weekend, reports suggest so on Sunday.
"It was way too much too soon. It's not shocking to anyone," a source told leading publications.
Sources close to the couple said the decision to split was a mutual choice as both felt the timing wasn't right.
As of Sunday evening, Grande had not deleted photographs and videos of Davidson from her social media accounts, but Davidson's accounts were no longer active.
The couple's split comes after Grande has endured a difficult few weeks as she came to terms with the loss of former boyfriend Pete Davidson, who died from an apparent drug overdose on 7 September.
After venting about her emotional exhaustion to her Twitter followers, the star took some much-needed time off.
On 21 May, it was reported the Grammy nominee and Davidson had started casually dating.
The news of their pairing came just two weeks after it was confirmed that Grande had split from rapper Miller and one week after Davidson confirmed his break up from actress Cazzie David, whom he had dated for a year.
Grande and Davidson kept their relationship under wraps in the beginning. On 20 May, he supported the “No tears left to cry” singer behind the scenes at the Billboard Music Awards.
Once news broke of their coupling, though, the entertainers soon made it official on Instagram by sharing a shot of them posing together in Harry Potter robes and began attending events together.
The couple confirmed their engagement in June after a whirl wind romance.

Mel B told Victoria Beckham, "F*** off, you bitch!" during a heated bust-up over the Spice Girls reunion, according to The Sun.
News of the row emerged as the remaining quartet Mel, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Melanie Chisholm flew in to London to make promotional material, announcing a UK tour.
They spent 14 hours at a studio, filming clips for social media, plus photoshoots and song clips.
The much-awaited tour will begin in the UK next May, with extra dates in Europe. But Victoria, who was known as Posh Spice, will not be in the line-up following fiery exchanges with Mel B.
The Sun quoted an insider as saying, "The girls are furious with Victoria for initially agreeing to reunite, then pulling out. At one stage she even threatened to go legal if the girls cashed in on the brand minus her. They then took offence to her recreating her Spice Girls looks in a recent Vogue shoot, and basically said she was being a hypocrite.
"By the end of the exchange, Melanie told Victoria, 'F*** off, you b****!'. And that was pretty much the end of the conversation."
The tour is set to feature dazzling costumes, dancers and pyrotechnics.
Claire Foy was 'deeply hurt' by gender pay gap
Actress Claire Foy says she felt compelled to speak out about the pay gap between herself and The Crown co-actor Matt Smith to open doors for others fighting for fair play.
Foy became a figurehead of sorts for those fighting for gender equality when she spoke out about the fact she was paid much less than Smith even though she was The Queen to his Prince Philip on the drama. The revelation forced the show's bosses to publicly apologise to both stars for inadvertently putting them in a very awkward position.
Now, in a magazine, Foy has said the whole drama was very upsetting and she had moments when she wished she didn't have to be the one making waves, reports the leading publications.
She said, "I was deeply hurt by it, because I'd been working on that show for two years. I loved everybody on it. And then I realised, 'There's been a big, fat, dirty secret that nobody's ever talked about'.
"But then there was also that thing (of being) an inadvertent spokesperson. Why did it have to be me? I could have said nothing. And I think everyone would have preferred that. But I thought, 'If I do that, I will be cheating myself and all the other women I know.'"
Foy recently dismissed reports suggesting she had been offered $225,000 in back pay to settle the gender pay gap on The Crown.
