From clicking a picture with Akshay in his childhood and to starring with him in a movie: Ranveer Singh's inspirational journey

MUMBAI: Ranveer Singh is ruling the box office these days. The actor, who debuted in the year 2010 with Yash Raj’s Band Baaja Baaraat, has come a long way. He has proved what a versatile actor he is, from playing Kilji in Padmavat, Murad in Gully Boy, and Sangram 'Simmba' Bhalerao in Simmba, the variations in his role have people calling him one of the best actors today.

What do you think about these Showtees ?

It wasn’t an easy ride for the actor. He was rejected at many auditions and was told that he wouldn’t ever be an actor as he didn’t have the looks. Before becoming a successful actor, he also worked as an AD for many films and also served tea and snacks on the sets. In 2010, ace producer Aditya Chopra spotted his talent and launched him in Band Baaja Baaraat.

Ranveer always wanted to be an actor. Years ago, when he was just a kid, he had met superstar Akshay Kumar as a fan, when the latter was shooting for Mohra. Little did he know that years later, he would be starring in a movie with Akshay.

Well, his is definitely an inspirational story of hard work and dedication.
