MUMBAI: Mumbai Police have been investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case closely. Cops have been interrogating actor’s close friends and family. Till now police have recorded the statements of 25 people including his last film Dil Bechara director Mukesh Chhabra, former publicist and friend Rohini Iyer, house helps, rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, close friend Mahesh Shetty, his father and three sisters among many others. Cops have also received the late actor’s signed YRF contract copy for further investigation. Apart from contract copy, Police have also recorded the statements of former top Yash Raj Film executives.

As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Police have interrogated a Bollywood producer and two former top executives - Ashish Patil and Ashish Singh - of Yashraj Films in connection with the actor’s suicide case. The executives were questioned over the contract that the actor had signed in the past. The Mumbai Mirror report states that SSR had signed a contract in 2012 when Ashish Patil and Ashish Singh were at the helm of affairs at the production house. Sources at the station revealed to the tabloid that the contract copy police have received was the one he signed in 2012 but the one of his exit of the contract in 2015 is still not made available to them.
The source revealed to Mumbai Mirror, “The questioning largely revolved around the terms of references in the agreement to join and exit the firm by the actor.”
