MUMBAI: It was a long break for Bollywood actors from the shoots and now few of them are back to work with their respective projects, Deepika Padukone had resumed shooting of her next just in the month of September 2020. The actress had jetted off to Goa to shoot for Shakun Batra’s next, however, her name emerged in drug nexus during Narcotics Control Bureau’s probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, followed by a summon that compelled her to be back in town. Deepika’s name hit the headlines after her chats with a talent management firm employee and her manager Karishma Prakash supposedly asking for banned substances came to light.

Now as reported in Times of India, Deepika will be returning to Goa to continue shooting for Shakun Batra’s venture. Meanwhile when Deepika was in Mumbai for NCB interrogation, the makers filmed Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s portion in the film. On the work front, the actress was last seen in Meghna Gulzar helmed Chhapaak which marked her first release of the year 2020. Post which she was supposed to be seen in Kabir Khan’s sports drama titled ‘ 83 as Ranveer Singh’s onscreen wife.
However, the film has been kept on hold with the outbreak of COVID-19 forcing the theatres to shut.
Along with Deepika Padukone, also summoned by NCB were actresses Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh.
Meanwhile there were reports of the actresses given a clean chit by NCB after the first round of interrogation, but as per reports in Mumbai Mirror NCB has denied any such development in the SSR’s case so far.
