Designers Riddhi and Siddhi called me 'mentally disturbed', alleges Kalki Koechlin

It’s really troubled times for Kalki Koechlin. The actress, who is already said to be under a lot of pressure due to her wilting marriage with Anurag Kashyap, found herself at the receiving end of designers Riddhi & Siddhi’s ire at the recently held Glamour Style Walk 2013. Here is what transpired. Kalki, who was the showstopper for the designer duo, initially walked the ramp solo. She entertained the audience with her confident walk and also did a jig on stage eliciting wolf whistles from the assembled photos. Now as a showstopper, she was supposed to walk with her designers as well later. But post her walk and dance, Kalki disappeared from the stage leaving her designers in a lurch. This ticked off the designers and they allegedly called Kalki “mentally disturbed” which later snowballed into an ugly fracas. Not the one to hold back, Kalki took the fight to Twitter where she vented out her frustration at the designers "After a 4hour wait in lehenga, jewellery make-up they have the gall to call me mentally disturbed! Riddhi Siddhi, dp designers, shame on you.” According to Kalki, it was the organizers who whisked her off the stage to do interviews. This apparently didn’t go down well with the designers who responded back in kind. They tweeted “Please get your facts right, we do not belong to DP designers and it was their jewellery show to begin with. DP jewellers were mighty pissed with you for not walking with them since they are the one to pay you for this show.” The designers also rubbished Kalki’s allegations of having called her “mentally unstable” and said “We deserve a public apology for your carelessness and defaming us without checking the facts.” The ball’s now in your court, Kalki!!!
