Did Sushant Singh Rajput give up because Bollywood had BOYCOTTED him?

Was Sushant Singh Rajput's fall out with big banners one of the reasons why the actor slipped into depression?

MUMBAI: Sushant Singh Rajput passed away at the age of 34. He allegedly committed suicide at his Bandra residency. He was one of the finest actors we had. He started his Bollywood career with the movie Kai Po Che with Rajkumar Rao and Amit Sadh, and had garnered a lot of love and appreciation in his debut movie itself. The actor was unstoppable after that, his performances in movies like MS Dhoni, Kedarnath, Sonchiriya, Chhichhore were unmissable.

The industry in still in shock with this sudden demise and condolences are still pouring in for the actor.  But his demise has once again exposed the hypocrisy of Bollywood. The same people who never even asked about him today are blaming themselves for not being there. Sushant had an amazing start in the movies. His first movie, Kai Po Che was a massive hit and was critically acclaimed.  Post that, he had a mixed bag of movies out of which some were a hit at the Box Office.

There was a time when Sushant was seen with the biggies of Bollywood partying and having a good time, but then there was a drop out with YRF and from there, his downfall began in the big bad world of Bollywood.

There is strong buzz doing the rounds in the media that his fall out with YRF didn’t turn out to be one of the best events in his life.

It all began in the year 2013 when Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to cast him in Ram Leela. But since he was in a contract with YRF, he had to let go off the movie because of the contract. But at the same time, Ranveer Singh, who was also in a contract with YRF was allowed to break it and be a part of Ram Leela.  Infact, Sushant was the first choice for Befikre but then was replaced by Ranveer Singh

The issue accelerated  when Aditya Chopra stepped down as a producer with his upcoming movie, Paani and Sushant was excited to be directed by Shekar Kapur.

During that time, there was news doing the rounds that these small issues built into an outrage and there was a showdown between Sushant and Aditya Chopra.  Karan Johar also got involved in the fight. So, a clique had been formed against him.

Suddenly he had been cut off by the Bollywood industry for the last year or so. He wasn’t being invited to the Bollywood parties, nor being offered any major movies. He was not even spotted during award functions, which left him dejected. He felt that his career was at a risk, in spite of having a blockbuster hit last year in the form of Chhichhore.

There is no confirmation about the same but there is a strong buzz wandering in the world of Bollywood about how the industry ignored Sushant in a span of time. This clearly shows the double standards of Bollywood where at one point you side-line a person and when he deicided to leave the world, the same people are giving condolences and showing concern.

Recently, hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani said that Sushant was going through a bad phase from a year but no one in the industry stood up for him nor did they lend a helping hand. To tweet, today is the biggest display of how shallow the industry really is.

The dark side of Bollywood as put the lives of many actors at a risk and this hypocrisy still continues.
