He admitted, “Despite the backlash and mixed opinions, I really enjoyed it and would have loved to be a part of it.”

Hashmi acknowledged the criticism directed at the film but emphasised his perspective as an audience member. He noted, “I understand the reasons behind the backlash, but I generally watch films from the audience’s point of view. There were certainly questionable elements, but Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s unique vision and execution were noteworthy.”

The actor commended Vanga for differentiating 'Animal' from other films by taking daring creative risks. He expressed his admiration for the film's unique style and praised the director for his courage to try something new.

Hashmi has already praised the qualities of 'Animal.' Ranbir Kapoor's performance was praised as "commendable" by him on Subhankar Mishra's podcast, particularly for the way he convincingly portrayed a complex character with grey shades.

Although Hashmi doesn't watch a lot of films, he gave 'Animal' an exception because of Kapoor's outstanding performance. He gave Kapoor a lot of credit for his ability to play a difficult part so strongly and passionately.

Emraan Hashmi is currently getting ready to star in Sujeeth's action thriller 'They Call Him OG' in Telugu. He made his last appearance on the TV series 'Showtime.'
