MUMBAI: Actor Nikita Dutta believes that the most powerful turning points in an artist’s journey come from trusting instinct and embracing clarity of choice. From the very beginning, she held on to a simple principle, to stay true to what she could genuinely see herself doing. “I said no to things even when I had nothing in hand because I couldn’t see myself in them,” she says, recalling how her earliest decisions were shaped by conviction rather than convenience.
Speaking at a recent entertainment summit in Mumbai, Nikita believes individuality is an actor’s only true currency. “You can be a great actor, dancer or look exceptional, but there has to be something that is exclusively yours” she explained.
In an industry brimming with talent, Nikita’s philosophy reads like both a reminder and a challenge: artistry isn’t about fitting in but about standing apart. And sometimes the boldest career move is simply choosing to remain yourself.
