TellyChakkar had a fun conversation with the actor Manik Papneja about the movie, his debut and more.

How did you get this role, and what made you say yes?

I guess what made me say yes, was the part in the film, I really liked the part and Avnish Barjatiya narrated the script to me with so much love and passion he had for the story, and he had been working on it for so long that I just had to say yes, I mean looking at how much love he had for the story, I knew he is gonna do a good job, also what better production house to do a film with then Rajshri, they are legends.

It’s a fresh love story; what do you have to say about the concept of the movie?

The movie Dono is the portrayal of the beautiful balance that is there between the old and the new, between traditional values and modern values, and what it takes to create harmony between these two, that’s what the movie is about and in my opinion, it is also about accepting the circumstances that you can't change and changes that are in your control. This movie Dono is about love, and I am sure when people go and see it, they are going to thoroughly enjoy it and leave with a smile in their face.

Moving forward, what are the kind of roles that you want to do?

I want to do good roles, I want to do roles and play characters that have something to say, which isn’t very close to me and is not something I can relate to at first, I would love to explore that and to see what it will be like to approach life and everything in it, from a different perspective that I don't have right now, I guess those roles and trying to figure out the process of it is going to be very interesting.

Manik has also been a part of projects like, Looop Lapeta , Kaun Banegi Shikharwati (2022) , Made in Heaven (2019)!
