MUMBAI:Actor Shahnawaz Pradhan, known for his iconic roles like Hafeez Sayedd in Phantom, and Alaf Laila suffered a major heart failure and passed away at the age of 60.

The actor was present at an award function where after receiving an award he got an attack and was rushed to Kokilaben Hospital but he passed away.

The actor was known for playing very iconic roles and he started acting at an early age.

The actor suffered a heart failure at an award function and the actor's recent project which is set to release soon is Khela Hobe. The movie also happens to be Late Veteran actor Om Puri’s last movie

Shahnawaz Pradhan started his acting career with Doordarshan's show, "Jan Se Jantantra Tak." He came into the limelight after playing the role of 'Nand Baba' in the epic television series "Shri Krishna."

Next, he played the role of 'Sindbad the Sailor' in the popular fantasy television series "Alif Laila." He has also appeared in the TV serials "Byomkesh Bakshi (TV series)," "Tota Weds Maina", "Bandhan Saat Janmon Ka," and "Suite life of Karan and Kabir."

Shahnawaz Pradhan was also known for his portrayal of Hafiz Saeed in Phantom. He had also  been featured in many Hindi films, like "Bangistan", "Raees" and "Mirzapur."

As per reports, his condition worsened very quickly after he suffered the attack and even after taking him to the hospital they could not save him.
