MUMBAI: We lost one of the finest gems of Bollywood, actor Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14 last year. Since then, the CBI and NCB have been investigating his death case. Recently, Sushant’s roommate, Siddharth Pithani was arrested by the NCB from Hyderabad in connection with the drug case related to the actor’s death.
According to Mid-Day, NCB was looking out for Siddharth since August 2020. He was one of the members who were present at Sushant’s residence when he was found hanging in his bedroom. The report suggests that NCB tracked Siddharth through his new Instagram handle. He had deleted his old account soon after Sushant passed away.

The report also says that Siddharth was avoiding the NCB investigation since August. He took to his new handle and posted pictures from his gym in April this year. Along with the pictures, he had written, “Pizza power #foodandfitness @fitnessturfasraonagar” Siddharth had also posted a picture from his engagement.

NCB then reached the gym that Siddharth had tagged in his post, but still, they couldn’t get him. Sameer Wankhede, Zonal director of NCB Mumbai told Mid-Day that Pithani didn’t respond even after receiving summons from them. He said that NCB was constantly tracking him and they had resorted to all digital platforms to arrest him.
Soon after his arrest, Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh said, “I am quite hopeful that they will able to unravel the mystery and they are working on it lets keep our fingers crossed. As far as the arrest of Siddharth Pithani is concerned it is a kind of poetic justice that he has at least gone to jail.”
Post Pithani’s arrest, NCB also summoned SSR’s house helps, Neeraj and Keshav for further investigation. Wankhede told, “They are being questioned and I cannot reveal anything as the investigation is at a sensitive stage.”
