Time to smile as we bring some interesting updates for the Hollywood buffs! Take a look-

Cumberbatch, wife to welcome their third child

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter are set to become parents for the third time.

During Monday evening's 2018 Emmys here, the 40-year-old theatre and opera director debuted a small but growing baby bump as she arrived at the event alongside her husband of three years, reports suggest so.

The news comes just over a year after they welcomed their son, Hal Auden Cumberbatch. In 2015, Hunter gave birth to son Christopher "Kit" Carlton just months after she and Cumberbatch married on Valentine's Day that year.

'Game of Thrones' wins big at Emmy Awards

Game of Thrones had the biggest haul, with nine awards, at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards here. It also won the best drama Emmy for the third time in the past four years.

For Netflix, the 2018 Emmys represented a triumph. But the result came as a relief to HBO, which can now say that it has technically finished in first place among all broadcast and cable networks for 17 years running, reports suggest so.

The rest of HBO's awards were spread among several shows in acting categories, including wins for Henry Winkler ("Barry"), Bill Hader ("Barry"), Thandie Newton ("Westworld") and Peter Dinklage ("Game of Thrones").

In his acceptance speech at the ceremony here on Monday, Dinklage called out the show's creators, David Benioff and Dan Weiss, saying, "Thank you Dave and Dan for changing my life. I cannot walk down the street anymore."

The spy drama The Americans won two awards, including best actor in a drama for Matthew Rhys.

Claire Foy, who played Queen Elizabeth in The Crown, won for best lead actress in a drama. Earlier this month, The Crown won best cast in a drama at the Creative Arts Emmys.

Lorne Michaels, the 73-year-old behind Saturday Night Live, not only left the Microsoft Theatre with the Emmy for best variety sketch series, he also produced the broadcast for NBC.

NBC hoped that the hosts, Colin Jost and Michael Che, the anchors of Weekend Update on "S.N.L.", would help reverse a trend of plummeting awards show ratings, reports

In addition to giving the hosting job to Jost and Che, Michaels recruited a number of current and former "S.N.L." cast members. The show began with a satirical musical number on Hollywood's diversity problem, led by two stalwarts -- Kenan Thompson and Kate McKinnon.

In their opening remarks, Che and Jost made only veiled references to the Trump presidency, which had been a staple of onstage remarks at the last Emmys ceremony, and to the #MeToo movement.

In a taped segment midway through the broadcast, the show returned to diversity as a theme, with Che handing out "reparations Emmys" to black actors from past shows, including Jimmie Walker and John Witherspoon.

The focus on diversity became ironic as the night wore on, with one white person after other delivering acceptance speeches.

Before the ceremony was done, there were victories for African-American actors and performers - Regina King, for Seven Seconds; Thandie Newton for her work in Westworld; and an Emmy for RuPaul, of RuPaul's Drag Race - but the great majority of winners did not reflect the night's theme.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, a series created by Amy Sherman-Palladino about a housewife who tries her luck as a comedian in 1950s New York, had a big night, taking five awards, including best comedy series.

Rachel Brosnahan, who plays the show's title character, won for best actress in a comedy, the first new winner in that category in seven years. Sherman-Palladino won for directing and writing, in addition to the best comedy series award. And Alex Borstein, who plays Mrs. Maisel's manager, took the award for best supporting actress.

The triumph of Mrs. Maisel was a blow to the comedy Atlanta, a critical favourite. Donald Glover, the show's star and creator, took the prize for best actor in a comedy last year. This time, he lost out to Hader, who plays a hit man trying to make it as an actor in Barry.

In another win for Barry, Henry Winkler, 72, took hold of his first Emmy, for his role as a well-intentioned but cheesy acting coach.

John Oliver's weekly show, Last Week Tonight, took the best variety talk category for the third year in a row.

Regina King surprised by Emmy victory

Actress Regina King won the 2018 Emmy Award for lead actress in a limited series and she could hardly believe the good news herself.

Really? Say word," the actress, who won for her role on Seven Seconds, remarked as she began her speech on Monday night here,

“Wow, I didn't have anything to say because I wasn't really expecting this, but I am so grateful television academy. You all are my friends, my peers, thank you, thank you, thank you," she said.

“This is amazing," she continued. "I wanna curse right now. This is good."

King, 47, was the first person of colour to win at the Emmys, which drew criticism from some viewers at home for its lack of non-white winners.

In a humorous nod to host Michael Che's joke from the show's opening monologue that only black actors thank Jesus in their speeches, King added, "Thank you Jesus - Michael Che."

King has previously picked up two supporting actress in a limited series or movie Emmys for her work in American Crime.

Glenn Weiss went home with more than Emmy Award

Glenn Weiss, the director of the Oscars, who won the award for outstanding directing for a variety special, proposed to his girlfriend at the 2018 Emmy Awards.

"I'm really grateful to be here, but it's bittersweet. The person most proud at this moment would be my mom, and she passed away just two weeks ago," he began, reports suggest so.

"Mom always believed in finding the sunshine in things, and she adored my girlfriend Jan. Jan, you are the sunshine in my life. And mom was right, don't ever let go of your sunshine.

You wonder why I don't like to call you my girlfriend -- because I wanna call you my wife."

The crowd shrieked as the new fiancee walked up to the stage in shock.

This is the ring that my dad put on my mom's finger 67 years ago," Weiss said.

And to my sisters and brother, I didn't swipe it. Dad knows I have it, okay?"

He continued, "Jan, I want to put this ring -- that my mom wore--, on your finger in front of all of these people and in front of my mom and your parents watching from above. Will you marry me?"

He slipped on the ring and then got down on one knee. The couple kissed before Weiss concluded, "Thank you to the Academy!"

The 70th Primetime Emmy Award ceremony, hosted by Michael Che and Colin Jost, took place here on Monday night.

Thandie Newton thanks God, who she calls 'Her' at Emmys

Thandie Newton won the best supporting actress in a drama series at the 70th Emmy Awards for Westworld. Even though an atheist, she thanked God and said "I thank her...".

I don't even believe in God but I'm going to thank her tonight," Newton said during her speech at the Annual Primetime Emmys.

"I am so blessed. I am so blessed. Without this, I am even..." before covering her own mouth as she seemed to begin to drop an f-bomb during the ceremony that took place here on Monday, reports suggest so.

Newton was nominated for playing Maeve in the sci-fi western epic Westworld in 2017 as well, but this marks her first win.

"The cast and crew of -- I can't believe I'm here -- the cast and crew of Westworld... I love you all so much," she said.

Lisa Joy, Jonah Nolan, Home Box Office, J.J. Abrams, our guardian angel."

She also called out her family, particularly her daughter, Ripley.

“I get to guide you and love you and protect you, which is my north star," she said, addressing her daughter. "I love you so much, baby."

Allison Brie reunites with 'Community' co-star Jacobs

Actors Allison Brie and Gillian Jacobs of "Community" TV show fame reunited at the annual Glamour x Tory Burch Women To Watch lunch.

Brie was spotted wearing a pink shin-length skirt and long sleeve blouse along with a matching neck bow. Jacobs went with a similar matching outfit to Brie, with a neck bow and shin-length skirt, reports suggest so.

The former co-stars posed together for pictures, and were seen having a gala time with each other.

They were joined by several celebrities including Chrissy Metz and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Timbaland accuses former tenant of stealing his mail

Record producer Timbaland has sued a man named William he used to rent his property out to for reportedly stealing his mail.

Timbaland has no proof that William has been carrying out the crime, but he has stated that the police suspect him to be responsible because "no one else would have a reason to seek to recover mail from the home" except the prior tenant, reports suggest so.

The "Give it to me" hitmaker has been locked in a legal battle with William for a while now as, according to the publication The Blast, the producer sold the property to him and agreed to let him live there until the deal was finalised and funds had been paid.

However, the funds never cleared, but William refused to leave the premises.

Timbaland had no choice but to sue him and the judge sided with him, meaning that William had to vacate the property immediately.

However, when he left, he reportedly caused $100,000 worth of damage to the mansion and stole $100,000 worth of Timbaland's personal possessions.

In the court documents, the producer claimed TVs, mattresses, nightstands, bed frames, bar stools, dishes, glasses, pot, pans, lounge chairs, tables, a ton of garage gym equipment and various other items had been snatched.

He also said his 'Street Fighter' arcade game had been broken, walls had been smashed, ceilings had been cracked, carpet had big stains on them, his zebra rug had been damaged and there were bees living in the attic.

Atkinson is our modern-day Charlie Chaplin: Thompson

Actress Emma Thompson says English actor-comedian Rowan Atkinson is our modern-day Charlie Chaplin.

The actors have worked together in films The Tall Guy, Love Actually and most recently Johnny English Strikes Again.

Speaking of Atkinson, Thompson said in a statement, "I've worked with him on and off for years, and I've admired him for years. I really do think he's a remarkable presence in our cultural pantheon."

"He's our Buster Keaton (late actor-comedian), our modern-day Charlie Chaplin really. You don't need to hear him speak, he's just funny," she added.

Thompson plays the role of a Prime Minister in Johnny English Strikes Again.

"She's a real mix. She's (Margaret) Thatcher and (Theresa) May. She is the darkest version of those politicians who use their office because the power appeals. By the time we get to meet her, she is desperate," she said.

"She is making quite catastrophic decisions. Even though this is a comedy and is silly, it has been interesting to think, well what if you did hold that kind of power. This PM feels herself to be very important, and as she senses that slipping away, it makes her desperate, like a caged animal."

Johnny English Strikes Again is the third instalment of the Johnny English comedy series, with Atkinson returning as the accidental secret agent.

It will release in India on 28 September.
