Govinda in Thuppakki remake with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha

After the super hit movie Partner, Govinda featured in the not so naughty film Naughty@40 in 2010 that didn’t do well. Since then the actor has been struggling to get a good film. Then somewhere in April this year Yash Raj Films announced that the actor has been signed to play a villain in its upcoming project Kill Bill. This move was seen as a departure for the actor as in most of his earlier films he made people laugh. Govinda has played all kinds of roles but never played a villain before in his entire career. Incidentally, the actor did play a character with grey shades in Shikari but Kill Bill will be his first out and out negative role. Earlier too he was to do another YRF film but things didn’t work out. Now the Bollywood street dancer has been signed to play an important role in Vipul Shah’s Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha upcoming film that is said to be a remake of Tamil film Thuppakki. Govinda has already wrapped up a part of his shooting schedule and is waiting to complete the rest. The superstar of 90's, Govinda was seeing a low phase in his career these days as he was hardly approached by filmmakers for movies. For record’s sake Govinda has also signed for Pahlaj Nihalani’s Avatar and Yash.
