MUMBAI : A little over a decade ago, Bollywood actor Gulshan Devaiah collaborated with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the film "Ram-Leela," which starred Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. In the 2013 movie, Gulshan played Bhavani.

Although Bhansali has since reunited with nearly all of the film's actors, he has not yet collaborated with Devaiah. In an interview with the well-known news website, Devaiah disclosed the true reason why he and Bhansali haven't been back together for the last 11 years.

“I haven’t heard anything from him, not even a rumour, not even a whisper," he admitted with a smile. “If there is something, I suppose, he will think of me," Devaiah added.

Bhansali has directed many films since Ram Leela. This includes the much-discussed Heeramandi web series this year.

As we wait for Devaiah and Bhansali to reunite, the actor will be seen in Bad Cop released this weekend. The actor plays the double role of Karan and Arjun in the series. This is his second double-role character since Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. This is also another time that we see Devaiah play a police officer. He was seen donning the cop’s uniform in Dahaad.

Devaiah said that he agreed to star in the series to experiment with different approaches to playing the police officer. He also wanted to do something new when it came to playing twins.

“It seemed like a great idea and a lot of fun. And I get to play another type of cop, and a variation in double role so I was curious to see how I would interpret it. I knew it would be fun and it was," he told the popular news portal.

He clarified that it was difficult to swap between his parts in the series. “It took me an hour to change clothes because of the look and perming of the hair. The director wanted a certain type of skin tone and texture in the hair so when I was playing the twins on the same and when I had to change, I needed more than an hour to sort of get ready, wear accessories and all. So that was a bit of a pain. Sorry that I am complaining but indulge me," he said.
