MUMBAI: Our Bollywood divas keep surprising us with the way they keep themselves fit. Be it rain or storm, they never fail to shell out fitness goals for fans and astound them with their discipline. Many actresses while they were expecting made sure that they continued to work till the very last day and even did exercises to make sure that they were staying healthy and fit. 

Recently, Anushka Sharma had shared a photo of herself doing yoga and how her husband Virat Kohli was helping her exercise. Besides this, even Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is pregnant with her second child, has been working on her upcoming projects. Other divas who have stayed busy and healthy during their pregnancy months are Lisa Haydon, Kalki Koechlin. 

Amy Jackson

During her pregnancy, Amy shared a post in her yoga pants, flaunting her baby bump, and wrote that she was in her third trimester. She added that she has been staying fit and active. She shared that she did yoga every day. 

Her now-deleted post read, "Even before pregnancy, keeping fit played a vital part in my day-to-day life and I've kept it going right into my third trimester. It's been proven that working out (even if it's just a 20 minute walk!) can reduce complications throughout pregnancy and during labour. So consult with your doctor, and then GET MOVING."

Anushka Sharma

Anushka shared a picture of herself doing a headstand (shirshasana) while flaunting her baby bump. The actress' husband and cricketer Virat Kohli was seen holding her legs for support. A part of Anushka's post read as, "This exercise is ‘hands-down’ (and legs up) the most difficult one #throwback . P.S. – As yoga is a big part of my life, my doctor recommended that I can do all such asanas that I was doing before I was pregnant( after a certain stage)barring twists & extreme forward bends, but of course with the appropriate and required support."

Kareena Kapoor Khan

According to Rujuta Diwekar's Instagram post in August 2020, Kareena does both sprints and endurance-building runs on the treadmill, yoga, strength training workout, and core workout with rest days interspersed in between, during the first three months of her pregnancy. She switched between high intensity and low-intensity exercises to help the body heal and build in the most efficient and sustainable manner. In her post, Rujuta wrote, "Allowing for break days is important too—muscles can heal and regenerate during those periods." 

Lisa Haydon

In an interview with Elle India magazine, Lisa has spoken about her workout regime. She shared that she did ballet workout during her second trimester and mostly did floor exercises. She said, "I started to mix up the Ballet Beautiful workouts with high resistance cross-training for 20 mins, as well as SLT machine Pilates. Now in the final trimester, I’m probably working out four times a week as opposed to six — that’s all the energy I have."

Kalki Koechlin 

During her pregnancy, Kalki used to do yoga to stay fit. Prenatal yoga is considered to be an ideal way to maintain a healthy mind and body for pregnant women. Kalki had shared photos doing the garland pose, malasana, which are known for their calming effects. She also was seen doing utkata konasana or Goddess pose, which is known for strengthening the hip and helping in making labour easier.
