MUMBAI: The production of Farhad Samji's next directorial 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali' may be done independently by Salman Khan under his banner SKF Films. Sajid Nadiadwala was supposed to produce it alone, but now, the production operations are likely to be handled by Salman's company. The film also marks the union of the superstar with the talented beauty Pooja Hegde.
Sajid and Salman make the best of friends. Their association began back in 1997 in Judwaa and the duo has collaborated on multiple projects ever since including Kick and Mujhse Shaadi Karoge. Fans were excited for them to come together for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.
As per a portal, Sajid Nadiadwala felt that the script of KEKD needs to be worked upon further. However, Salman Khan feels that it is good to go and wishes to begin work on the film as soon as possible. Owing to the difference in opinions, Nadiadwala Grandson has decided to step back and let Bhaijaan lead the production by himself.
While nothing is confirmed yet, it is possible that Salman Khan Films will be solely backing Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. But that doesn’t mean there are any kind of issues between them. The decision was taken mutually, and since Salman loves Sajid, there are possibilities that he may add his name as the ‘joint producer’ in the credits.
Meanwhile, Salman will also be seen in the third instalment of the Yash Raj Films spy thriller franchise Tiger. The movie will also star Katrina Kaif who plays the role of former Pakistani spy Zoya. It has been directed by Maneesh Sharma and has been produced by Aditya Chopra. This time, Emraan Hashmi is all set to play the antagonist who will be confronting Salman’s character.
