MUMBAI : Kriti Sanon has been riding high on the wave of success with her recent performances, especially in the film ‘Teri Baaton Main Aisa Uljha Jiya’, where she plays the intriguing character Sifra, a robot. The audience’s warm reception has left her delighted. “I was really happy to hear people call me Sifra,” she shares, reflecting on the joy and excitement that comes with such positive feedback.
The National award winner’s portrayal of Sifra has struck a chord with fans of all ages. “As an actor and as an individual, I love comedy. Both these films (along with ‘Crew’) had certain elements of comedy in them. I was really happy to see the audience’s reactions in person, to hear people call me Sifra when they saw me – like you mentioned your nephew – kids related to Sifra and people in general liked the character,” Kriti explains.
The talented actress is also exploring new horizons in her career. Kriti’s involvement in the comedy genre continues with her role in ‘Crew’, a film that features three women in leading roles. “With Crew too, just to see three women leading a film was a fulfilling experience. The year surely started on a very good note so at this point, I just feel a sense of gratitude. There’s a calmness in me,” she states, indicating her satisfaction and contentment.
Beyond acting, Kriti has expanded her horizon in the film industry by stepping into production. Her debut project, ‘Do Patti’, stars the renowned Kajol and is produced under her own banner, Blue Butterfly Films. This move underscores her passion for storytelling and her desire to explore new avenues within the industry.
